Mrs. Fields Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe
60 Servings
Ingredients
1 cup butter
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 1/2 cups oatmeal, blended into a fine powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
24 ounces chocolate chips
1 cup pecan nuts
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar.
Once creamy, add the eggs, one at a time, mixing in between additions. Add the vanilla and mix.
Mix in the flour, oatmeal powder, salt, baking powder, and baking soda. Only mix until the dough forms, careful not to over mix!
Use a wooden spoon or a rubber spatula to mix in the chocolate chips and chopped pecans.
Scoop dough onto an ungreased parchment or silicon lined baking sheet by rounded tablespoons, 2 inches apart to allow for spreading. Bake for 9-11 minutes until the edges are just barely golden. Let cool on baking sheet for 1-2 minutes before removing to wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
A bag of chocolate chips typically is comprised of 24 ounces.

I started using Photoshop probably a dozen years ago. There weren’t a lot of tutorials on the internet so I had to figure most of it out on my own. This caused some bad habits, but it also helped me develop very good problem solving skills. If I were to do it over, I would definitely learn the basics from a reliable source and mix that with self teaching.

One of the things I usually recommend people do is open up a photo and then press every single button, use every single filter, and one by one see what they do. Play around. Don’t worry about making anything worthwhile. Just push buttons and have a good time.

As for the more structured learning, I highly recommend signing up for lynda.com. They have a photoshop essentials course that you can finish in a weekend and have a pretty solid understanding of the program.

If you want to learn photoshop from more of an artist’s perspective, you might try out Bert Monroy’s Pixel Perfect series. He is a photo-realist who creates everything from scratch in photoshop.

If you want high quality tutorials on how to create special effects I would check out Planet Photoshop. All the tutorials are created by professionals and give you reliable, accurate information.

And if there is ever anything specific you wish to learn, usually you can just do a google search and add “photoshop tutorial” to the end. Not every tutorial will be wonderful. But usually they give you clues on how to achieve the effect you want.

Born in Africa to French wildlife photographer parents, Tippi Degré had a most unusual childhood. The young girl grew up in the African desert and developed an uncommon bond with many untamed animals including a 28-year old African elephant named Abu, a leopard nicknamed J&B, lion cubs, giraffes, an Ostrich, a mongoose, crocodiles, a baby zebra, a cheetah, giant bullfrogs, and even a snake. Africa was her home for many years and Tippi became friends with the ferocious animals and tribespeople of Namibia. As a young child, the French girl said, “I don’t have friends here. Because I never see children. So the animals are my friends.”
